Matt Walsh – Founder & Head Coach 

Matt Walsh is the founder and head coach of Walsh Elite, an AAU basketball program established in 2022 with a mission to develop young athletes both on and off the court. With over 15 years of coaching experience, Coach Walsh brings passion, dedication, and a player-first philosophy to every team he leads.

His coaching journey began in 2009 when he stepped up to coach his oldest daughter Clara’s 4th grade basketball team. What started as a way to support his child quickly grew into a lifelong passion. Since then, Matt has coached players at all levels—from grade school through high school—earning a reputation for his ability to build strong fundamentals, foster team culture, and motivate young athletes to reach their full potential.

At Walsh Elite, Matt emphasizes skill development, basketball IQ, and character, helping athletes compete at a high level while instilling values that extend beyond the game. His leadership and commitment have made Walsh Elite a respected name in the regional AAU scene.
